Matri House : A Journey of Restoration and Hosting
Matri House is a personal project brought to life with care and intention by its owners. In this short film, they share the story behind the home – from design decisions to what the space means to them. Like all the homes we manage, Matri House reflects the values of its owners, and we’re proud to care for it as part of the Stay North collection.Between Old Walls and New Stories
At Matri House, the character of the spaces shapes the experience. The kitchen and dining room provide a practical centre to the house, while the lounges and breakfast room create calm places to pause during the day. In summer, the garden extends the living areas outdoors, with apple trees and flowering plants framing the atmosphere of the house.
Each of the six rooms has its own tone and layout, from the spacious Iida with its soft light to Edla, designed with a compact kitchen for longer visits. The house adjusts easily to different kinds of stays, from short visits to longer retreats, and also serves as a base for small gatherings when booked in full.
